ABOUT me, amey.

I’m Amey, Creative Director and founder of Rosenthal Creative.

I’ve spent most of my working life making, designing, sourcing, styling and figuring out how things come together. My background spans furniture, fabrics, production, interiors and events, which means I tend to look at a space from all angles, from the big idea right down to the tiny detail someone else might not notice (but I absolutely will).

Starting Rosenthal Creative in 2012 gave me a place to put those ideas out into the world. Since then, I’ve designed events that exist for one very good night, interiors intended to stick around considerably longer, custom pieces, florals, installations and plenty of things that don’t fit neatly into a category.

I like good ideas, interesting details, things with personality and working with people who are open to doing things a little differently. I take the work seriously, but thankfully not much else.

what i do

I don't do boring.

At the core of it, I design spaces that people remember. I work closely with my small, trusted and talented team to bring each project to life.

Whether it’s an event or a more permanent interior, I focus on how a space feels, how it flows, and how people move through it. It’s never just about making something look good in photos, it has to land in real life.

Every project is different, so I don’t work off templates or repeat ideas. It always starts with a concept and builds into something considered, immersive and a little unexpected.

From early ideas through to execution, I collaborate closely with clients to make sure the end result feels cohesive, intentional and exactly as it should.

process

My process is pretty instinctive to begin with.

It usually starts with quick sketches, scribbles and notes - whatever gets the idea out of my head fastest.

From there, things are refined through renders and digital drawings so everyone has a clear understanding of what we’re creating.

It’s a mix of loose creative thinking and structured planning. Enough freedom to explore ideas, but enough detail to make sure it all comes together properly.

approach

I like to keep things thoughtful, a little unconventional and always intentional. The goal is to create spaces that feel effortless but are actually considered down to the smallest detail.

Whether it’s something that exists for a night or something that’s there for years, it should feel like it belongs and leave an impression long after people have walked away.
